about
Brescia Brazil is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative journey began in early childhood, with a pencil in hand and a vivid imagination. Her formal exploration of visual art expanded in high school, where she first took up painting and began to refine her technical and emotional expression. Simultaneously, she discovered a deep love for photography as a photojournalist for the school’s journalism department and nurtured her creative versatility through set design and production work for the theater program.
For over a decade, Brescia had been a part of the haunted house industry, where she developed a strong command of character design and special effects makeup—most notably through airbrush techniques—while continuously embracing new methods and evolving her craft. She qualified for the State UIL competition in Character Makeup two years in a row and went on to win a regional hair and makeup competition, earning a full-ride scholarship to cosmetology school. While in cosmetology school, she competed against two other institutions and claimed first place in a multi-school hair and makeup competition. She has also contributed her talents as a hair and makeup artist to several independent films.
Her artwork spans mediums and themes—from intimate watercolor and oil portraits to emotionally resonant pieces exploring

grief, women'sempowerment, political discourse, and fantasy. Whether creating memorial works or surreal narratives, Brescia’s art delves deeply into the complexities of the human experience.
In addition to her visual art, she has worked as a professional body piercer for over five years and is now in the early stages of her tattooing journey. A lifelong learner and creative explorer, Brescia is also self-teaching animation, continually expanding the boundaries of her artistic practice.
