about
Brescia Brazil is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative path began in childhood, always drawn to storytelling through visual expression. Her early interest in drawing and painting deepened in high school, where she began developing a more intentional approach to both technique and emotion in her work. During this time, she also explored photography through the school’s journalism department and contributed to theater productions through set design and backstage work—experiences that laid the groundwork for her wide-ranging creative skill set.
Over the past decade, Brescia has worked extensively in the haunted house industry, where she sharpened her skills in character design and special effects makeup, with a particular focus on
airbrushing. These hands-on, immersive environments helped shape her creative flexibility and love for transformation. Her passion for makeup also led her to cosmetology school, where she earned a scholarship and competed in several makeup and hairstyling competitions. She’s since contributed to multiple independent films as a hair and makeup artist.Today, Brescia’s work spans various mediums, including watercolor, oil, and digital painting. Her art often explores themes of grief, identity, women's rights, and fantasy—offering intimate reflections as well as larger social commentary. Whether working on a personal portrait or a politically charged piece, her work is anchored in emotional honesty. In addition to her studio practice, Brescia has been a professional body piercer for over five years and is currently developing her tattooing craft. She’s also exploring animation as part of her ongoing commitment to growth and learning. Her work continues to evolve across disciplines, unified by a deep curiosity and a desire to connect through art.
